Description Specification Downloads Expansion / Diaphragm tanks are pressurized water vessels where the water and air are separated by a flexible diaphragm allowing the water to expand and absorb pressure surges. In booster applications, diaphragm tanks can be used on both the discharge and the suction manifold. Connected to the suction manifold, a tank serves to counteract fluctuating inlet pressures. Pressure in low flow periodsDiaphragm tanks are commonly used on the discharge manifold to provide water storage for the system in very low flow situations. It decreases the running time of the booster pumps, thereby making the system more energy effective. Eliminates water hammerSince the diaphragm is flexible, it is able to adjust to sudden pressure changes, thus counteracting water hammering. When to use diaphragm tanks…If low or no-flow conditions are expected, a diaphragm tank should be used to work in conjunction with the Stop Function of the booster system. In areas where inlet pressure fluctuates, diaphragm tanks are often installed on the suction

Description Specifications Downloads The GT tanks are available in sizes from 8 to 3000 litres suitable for vertical installation. GT tanks in sizes 24 to 80 litres are also suitable for horizontal installation. The GT-H tanks have a non-toxic butyl rubber diaphragm, dividing the tank chamber in two compartments. The upper compartment contains compressed nitrogen. The lower compartment has a liner in polypropylene (PP) and is filled with water from the system. The GT-D tanks have a double diaphragm. The GT-U tanks have a replaceable, non-toxic butyl rubber bladder surrounded by compressed nitrogen. The bladder is the only component in contact with the liquid. The Grundfos GT diaphragm and bladder pressure tanks are suitable for domestic and industrial applications where a controlled pressure is required. Typical applications: ? domestic water supply systems ? booster systems ? expansion in heating and chilled water systems ? irrigation systems The GT tanks can be used with any Grundfos pump. ?
